Happy Spring!

Hello family and friends! One of my New Year's resolutions for 2011 was to do better at keeping in touch with my friends & family and I really have no excuses not to in this day and age of Email, Facebook & blog. So, forgive me if I don't always write or call as I should but hopefully this will give you insight into what our family is up to. I'm hoping to at least update with the seasons. Feel free to comment as I would love hearing from you too.

Rob has been working hard at Fedex Freight. He has been working the night shift (5 p.m. - 3 a.m.) but I found out today that he will be moved to days (11:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.) so that will be a change for all of us. Me...I spend my days and nights managing 6 of us during the week and 8 of us on the weekends. That doesn't include any friends that happen to end up at our place as well. I'm hoping to find a balance where I can squeeze a job in our crazy schedule (one that pays) as well as time to get back into scrapbooking, photography & painting.

Our girls have all been very busy. Tara, who is in her 2nd Semester of the nursing program, is doing well. She started clinicals and is getting to do some "hands on" stuff now. She still works some nights and weekends at Lowes. How she manages it all, I do not know. Kirsti moved back to Grand Junction in January. She is working full time at Red Lobster as a server and is trying to decide what she wants to do as far as college and a career go. (I am still pulling for back to Idaho and BSU!!! I refuse to give up!)  Kristina is finishing up her Senior year of high school and just finished up her 6 year run as a cheerleader with a great finish as 5A Idaho State Champions in cheer competition. She works weekends at Wahooz and is doing an internship to become a pharmacy tech this summer. Hanah is finishing up 9th grade where she cheered all year for West Jr. High. She is looking forward to moving on to Borah High in the fall and doing driver's training as soon as she can talk her parents into letting her.

The boys keep things at home busy and there is never a silent moment when they are there or awake. Colby is in 8th grade at West Jr. High. He told me today that his life is all about music, girls, sports and money and he can't wait to start driver's training! Sound like a teenage boy? Jaymen is my constant songbird. He sings ALL THE TIME! Wherever he is, whatever he is doing, he is singing!! He just finished up YMCA basketball and is anxious for Optimist football to begin again. He always has to have some sort of ball in his hands ready for action. Next month he will be taking his hunter safety course. He is referred to by his teachers and friends as "Jaymen the gentle giant".

We are very proud of the kids and all they do. As a still newly blended family we learn from eachother everyday. Rob and I feel so very blessed. Our house is very full....of love!
